The feeling of anticipation can cause a "feeling" but, I actually felt something, better response or whatever you wanna call it. Like I said, it wasn't much but just enough to know it helped a little.,,,,, And if you wanna know why it helps, just get the optimized TB from Rick and compare it to the stock TB and use a little scientific thinkin' and you'll see why it helps (and should see why it doesn't make a HUGE difference either). I know anticipation can cause you to feel stuff and what not, but I don't really anticipate much outta my car, which helps me to feel changes in it. If you took just 1 psi outta all of my tires (or just the front) I would probably realize something is up. I just spend a lotta time with the car, getting to know it and its characteristics.

Actually, I did mention that I can see better(smoother) AIRFLOW...scientific thinking

What we are discussing is THROTTLE RESPONSE(I guess by my own definition would be how quickly the butterfly opens, maybe this is where I am mixed up)...

...If the air is hitting the butterfly w/o it being open(lack of throttle response)...no amount of "optimizing" is gonna help...scientific thinking...

If you can't get the butterfly open...you can't take advantage of the "optimized" throttle body...

As I also said...I am gonna do this anyway...myself
& I can see your point, guess what I am looking at is from the time you put your foot down til the time the car goes bye bye...

"I just spend a lotta time with the car, getting to know it and its characteristics. "

Gee Krem, I bet you have put alot of miles on the tour ...I think you need a girlfriend

Look at it like this;
Bfore optimizng, a 1mm movement in the butterfly allowed only 1 sq in of air (just an arbitrary number) into the engine.
After optimizing, a 1mm movement in the butterfly now allows 1.1 sq in of air (again, just an arbitrary number) into the engine.
It allows more air into the engine, quicker.
Meaning throttle response quickens.

I know all of this...my point was getting the butterfly open quicker [in order to] allow the air in ...whereby tightening any slack in the actual cable itself could improve upon this action, not the action of airflow, which is a direct [secondary]result of the open butterfly...

Please no more...I was only entertaining myself last night after a few beverages anyway...it ain't no thang.
Kinda funny how when you bring a subject up in the form of a debate, how you can get all kinds of answers w/o being told "search"
