Pardon the ignorant post...

Since I can use the mtx amplifier's high pass option to crossover above 60Hz, is there something simple I can do like put a cap across the Vifa 7's terminals to block anything over 6k or something a little lower than that?

I'm still planning to use the audiocontrol crossovers upstream, but everything else is here and I'm itching to install these. Gonna be a couple weeks before I can get the other stuff.

a cap and an inductor will give you a 12dB per octave passive crossover that could be used.

If you d/l the crossover spreadsheet from PVC consultants webpage, you can get the values and diagrams.

I recall that Kicker made a sort of x-over device just for midrange. You may want to look into that. I used to see them on Ebay for 20-40 a pair.
