That sounds easy enough for me.

Don't forget about the fabricated adapter plates that are needed too. Oh, also grinding in your own injector slot to feed into the oval port since the oval port intake has it's injector centered, not offset like the twin port does.

See you are thinking about it backwards though.

I'm talking about worked oval port heads and my dual runner manifolds.

The best of both worlds...

Then toss in adjustable cam gears and raise the IMRC point and you have a very streetable race like engine.

Just wondering, what would be wrong with keeping it centered? You wouldn't have the IMRC anymore.

Centered would be better for fuel delivery, but I would still want a dual runner intake system. Demon is on the right track I think.

Just to clear a few things up:
I experimented with some parts available to me. The plastic, oval port, 3.0L lower intake manifold will bolt directly up to a 2.5L cylinder head with no modifications, no hole drilling.

However, the ports in the 2.5L head do not entirely fit inside the oval shaped lower intake, i.e. it will leak bad. And as said earlier, the injector port is a problem. It is centered and situated very low on the lower intake. You would get about half the spray in the ports and the other half on the intake mounting surface.

A spacer plate would be required. Sealing the spacer plate might be a little tricky but do-able. Sounds like a good opportunity for someone to make up a conversion kit and sell it here.

Yes! I remember what he did but I never saw pictures of it.

Haven't seen him around in a while either.

couldnt you just save yourself some time and use the 3L oval port LIM and then just bore the svt UIM to match, instead of boring both the SVT LIM and UIM?

You seem to be missing the Entire point that the secondary plates ARE IN the LIM...

It would be kind of hard to use the dual runner manifold system properly without them eh?

Mixing and matching would serve no purpose. Your best bet is to use a complete set of either. Be it the Oval port setup and sending the UIM to Extrude Hone (ala the ST220) or using the dual runner setup (In my case a TH UIM and modified LIM with secondaries)

BTW - Where are those pictures svttour???
