im goin to the track this saturday with a few buddies and i want to catch all the runs on tape. problem is whos gonna use my cam while im driving? well i guess the seat will get the hang of it. its in the works right now. i used the clamping part of a brake line flaring tool. tell me what u think.

its slanting down toward the driver side a lil bit but i can correct that easily. ill test it out tomorrow on the way to school on the southfield freeway.

Be better off not mounting it to the seat at all...its gonna shake like a mo fo w/o anyone in the seat...

Take out the grill & mount it in there(or in the bumper)...can't possibly catch too many bugs in the quarter mi & it would make for some cool vids Make some kind of mesh to fit around it so you don't really notice it....

Hell, it would be cool for the street if it weren't for the bugs...(plexiglass??)

I have a roll cage mounted camera mount, but i think it would work in the tours, i dont see any problem letting you borrow it.

does the mount clamp onto the roll cage bar?? i could probably check it out to see if it would work. i just tested my cam mount and it worked pretty damn good tho. it only gets shaky on the crappy sidestreets. im converting the video right now so u guys can check it out. ill post it in a lil bit.

edit: ixnay on posting the video at the moment. ill have it up later tonight. i have some editing to do on it to make it from a 10 minute vid to maybe a 2-3 minute vid.

Cool, take a look if you care at a revision of a design I found online
I found the info here http://hybrid2.honda-perf.org/contrib/cameramount/buildit.html
but modified it and made it better here.
http://thor.prohosting.com/~nfredly/Cam/camhowto.html
about $7 at home depot, and about $25 more at a good camera shop
for a mount.
To help stabalize the seat/camera I use a small cargo strap probably like $4 at a walmart or something.. I had one so no cost.
