I installed an amp and sub this weekend. To get the RCA plugs to the back of the HU, I removed it from the sleeve and went about the wiring. When I got the system wired, ground and the battery connected, the CD player wouldn't work.
I have a Sony Xplod 7050X. The stereo works fine but my source selector will not change over to the CD function. Here is the kicker, I had a CD in there when I disconnected it and it won't even eject it. I tried the reset button on the HU and disconnected (and reconnected after about 10 minutes) the power from both the battery and the wiring harness at the back of the HU and it still won't work. I don't think the mechanism that recognizes the CD in the slot is working.
Crutchfiled is telling me to take it to the service center because it is still under warranty. I would like to see if anyone knows of a fix that will keep me from having to go to the service center and be without my HU for 5 or 6 days.
Any suggestions?
