Good friend of mine from my auto-x days driver HER own 2003 M3 on track events whenever possible. Prior ride was a 98 (IIRC) M3 with lots of aftermarket bits. Couple seasons ago s he bought a Z3 for auto-x and then sold it because she had to finesse it vs. being able to use the muscle of the M3 motor. The first M3 was her gift to herself after her husband of 20+ years fell off Everest while on a climbing expedition. Nice lady.

One of the fastest by far auto-xers in the club was an early-20s, very attractive woman. She moved on to track days in a Formula Ford IIRC.

Women do drive track events. It's a shame most of them are already taken, and that I'm already married. One of these days I'm going to get my wussy butt to the track.
