In their current issue about Ford's new cars, they ripped on the SVT Contours in ordered to praise to the SVT Focus! They said something like up until now, Ford doesn't have anything that can compete with Hondas, Toyotas, Mitsubishis! WTF!? They forgot about the Contours?

Not in anyone's defense but they were probably thinking about small compacts and hatchbacks(ie civics, celica, eclipse). The Contour SVT can whup on everyone in that list but it probaby better suited against Acords,Camary's and galants which are all modded more for looks than performance.

EZ, we're not exactly in the same EPA classing as Civics, etc.

Is this refering to me? If it is than the spolier was a dealer add on because they screwed up my finance rate and had to change it from 2.9% to 5.9%. So I let them change the rate for a spolier and they also kept the mothly payments the same. So they had to knock another thousand or so off the price. I can take a picture but you have to wait until I get back to Germany and email me in a month because I am visiting my parents in Jersey until June.

I would've needed a passenger to take this photo, since I'd have both hands in a death-grip on the wheel! eek The highest I've had mine is 120 on US 290 going to Austin, and only then because the road was dead flat, straight, and nobody else was in sight. laugh And she wasn't really even breathing that hard...

Well, if you want to go that way....the Fox-body Mustang is considered a subcompact by the EPA.

Yeah, the EPA's kinda funky like that. Internal volume, right? Regardless, the 'tour is an "entry mid-size sedan", and the Civic is a subcompact/compact/something-other-than-entry-midsize.
