Hardware specs & cable lengths

It seems that the length of the cable depends on what interface you're getting.

Model ISO: 7 feet
Model iMax: 7.5 feet
Model Blue Route, VPW, PWM, iTrans, dual combo, triple combo: 7 feet total
Model Tricom: 10 feet

Optional USB adapter: 21 inches

The standard connector is a regular 9 pin serial connector (RS-232). I'm getting a USB adapter just so I can connect/remove things quickly.

Lol, it happens.

As for the Tricom and triple combo, the Tricom connector is better if you just want to quickly plug and play. If you don't mind storing 3 different connectors and taking the time to dis/connect adapters when switching to different cars, then you can save a chunk of money with the triple combo.

I'm lazy, so I went for the Tricom.

hey.. is ur girl also babysitting tonight ?? He he he

regarding the tricom stuff.... I had also thought about this: if you accidently brake the thing u lose your scan, but if u have the triple combo u could brake one of the connectors and still have the others two to play with.

I know.... kinda of crazy.

I need some food....

Bye

Huh?? I think you really need some food.

I don't think the connectors will break anytime soon. Alex Peper wouldn't be able to run much of a business if they did.

Just in case though, maybe you should set up a group buy for some custom carbon fiber/kevlar connector housings with attached limited edition, wood grain production number plate, alcantara bolsters, LED activity indicators, and a teeny car alarm with paging system to let you know if someone's trying to steal your l33t OBD-2 scanner. Oh, oh, and some quick-connect fittings for some NAAWS, cuz you never know when you might need it.

Um, yeah... Maybe I should go get something to eat too.

Oh wait, I think I get the girl joke. Shuttup, BBorges.
