And, I don't think 10mm (225 vs. 215) is enough to cause rubbing issues in our cars. I haven't pushed the car too hard around the corners since I've put the new tires on, but I'm confident I would have noticed rubbing by now if it were to be an issue.
Rubbing with 225's seems to be a hit or miss proposition. I have 225/45/17 falkens and they rubbed in the rear. Now of course I do have a 1 inch larger dia rim than you, and I'm sure that makes a difference here. But from what I've read in the past even with 17's it's hit and miss as to whether or not you will rub. Nice lookin ride though.
I have 225/50/15 ES100s and I get mad rub whenever I take a real hard corner or have someone in the backseat. HOWEVER if I could either shave off like a 1/4 inch of that lip of my rear fenders, or somehow bend them up, I'd be golden. Of course, I'm certain this is all because my wheels have a extra 10mm offset, which sticks them out from the car about a 1/2 inch more than stock. If I could get that 1/2" back, I'm sure there'd be no more rub. I'm suprised those with 225 rubber and a stock offset for their wheels still get rub?
