What is this B.S., Ford made 2 different blue interiors for the Contour!!!

I bought a pair of non-svt blue floor mats just so I could keep the svt ones in good condition since they are hard to get. Well when I put them in my car they didnt match. When I got them I thought they were the right color, but placed in the car or next to the originals the difference is noticable! They are a slightly brighter blue!
They say ford on the back and fit perfect, so it must be that they made 2 different blue interiors

Here is a pic,

I am probably going to put them up for sale in the classifieds, if anybody wants them let me know!

I have my Sport mats and the dealer gave me new ones that I just threw over the orig. ones. I also noticed the difference but I don't really care.

its possible that your original mats are worn out. when i got new ones they didnt match but after a little while the looked the same as the old ones.

The midnight blue is darker than the cloth blue that came on some contiques (i have for sure seen some mystiques with blue cloth) so that is probably why they don't match.

Both my cars are Dark Blue inside and both sets of mats are the same colour. But I ordered a set of mats through E-Bay - stock dark blue - not even close, more like light blue.

I bought 'Contour' mats on ebay from the same source.

They do seem a little lighter in color but the difference is so small it doesn't bother me.

I was happy to find some new ones. They seem slightly heavier than the orig 'sport' mats that I had.

My Sport mats didn't match either. I had the midnight blue interior as well. I wanted to say the mats were "grayish-blue"? I still have them, only used them at meets/car shows. Too bad I have a tan interior on the Escape.
