If the roads aren't that great you could go with 225/45/17's and give yourself some extra sidewall and traction. But the thing is you might rub depending on the offset of your rims. If you get 215/45/17 you won't rub, but the ride will be harsher. Also given what I've seen on a lot of tire websites 225/45/17's are usually cheaper then 215/45/17's (see Tire Rack )
