So I bought a new clutch kit from a member (never used) and they forgot to include the throw out bearing (honest mistake). In order to speed up my tranny install that this is a part of I was going to purchase a throw out bearing by it's self, and not wait for the missing item to be mailed (would be coast to coast AND have to cross the border). Is this going to mess anything up? I have a Spec Stage II clutch. Is there one brand to by over the other? I know a local parts store carries BCA Bearings. Thanks.

SPEC does use a beefed up pressure plate.....but I would GUESS (keyword there, ) that they use the same throw out bearing. SPEC is the only clutch producer for our cars that actually does have an "other than OEM" pressure plate which is a good thing. The only thing I don't know for sure is if they use a different TOB. Almost a $100 mistake leaving out the SPEC TOB....ouch.
