mabey its just me but I have had positive results with my local Ford dealer ever since they changed management
I took my tour in for an engine knock and they had ot for a day and couldnt fix it- they spent over three hours on the software and PCM codes and on the phone to Ford-
end result- an idea what is wrong and a bill for $0
thats right didnt charge me a dime
so I called a friend who USED to work at Rousch and helped to R&D on the Duratec head design, and he told me to check my hydralic lash adjusters- (ie lifters in normal pushrod cars- for those of you who dont speak DOHC) I asked the dealer how much for the job, he said trust me you dont want us to do the job- it would costr more than you want to put into it, and we dont know if it will solve the problem, again no charge. so I ordered my parts on teusd. when they get here- hopefully before Sat Pollo and I will be Duratec Docs.

Umm... I work at a Ford dealership, but I am a parts puller, not in service. At the dealership we used to work at, before we got bought and moved, the people in the service department were really nice, I don't know about any other dealerships, not even the one I work at now. smile

You just have to work your way up the ladder. I originally bought a 1999 T-red CSVT. Two days after driving it off the lot I was pushing it through an intersection. Long story short the car was in the dealership for 10 of the 14 days I had owned it. After I went to pick it up the 4th time they said it had another problem. So I went to the service manager to tell him that this car was a lemon. He blew me off. So next I went to the sales manager who also proceeded to blow me off saying they would fix it. So I decided to do the one thing I am really good at which is to ( and this is the key ) yell and start threatening them with a lawsuit and waving the no lemon clause around. All within about twenty feet of the general managers office. Well that worked as soon as he saw what was going on he deemed the car a lemon and got me into my T-green CSVT within a hour. I was 19 at the time.
