furby. what if you used to be in the service, my girlfriends dad used to be in the air force for while, he even went to nam, all but one of his brothers went to some service, can they still get usaa?

I believe you had to have been an officer in the military. Even used to be... doesn't matter, I don't think. Even if he wasn't an officer, have him call just to be sure. I just was always told if you had a military officer in the family you could get it.
Tell him to check it out though. USAA is great.

yea her uncle was some high rank in the army i think, im not sure about her dad, also her grandpa was in the army too and her great grandpa was in the Alamo. But he was also an outlaw, from a history page.

Your all really lucky in Canada we are getting visted by the proctologist daily. I have a clean record and am 36. Last year I paid $1050 this year $2300. You do the math and tell me how that works!!!  oh yah my Insurance company tells me I'm lucky cause it didn't go up that much.......WTF?

yeah you think that is bad i now pay near $250.00 a month for my svt and a 2002 dodge stratus 4 door. yeah 4 accidents in alaska from 4 years ago really puts a hurting on it expecialy when they werent my fault, snow and ice can make any vehicle a led sled.

you must be a military officer to get usaa. then your family can get it. my mom was a Major in the army (nursing). that's how i have it. but with full coverage i'm paying about 370 a month. philly insurance sucks plus i've got a less then clean driving record. but USAA is an amazing company to get involved with. if you can qualify, i'd try to get in with them....oh and i'm 24.

I have outrageous insurance. I was paying over 400 a month on my Mystique, but I did some searching and now I am paying 380 something a month, but it will soon go up because I got a ticket for running a red light late one night and another ticket for going 68 in a 50 zone.

Thanks to all those that made me feel better about how much I pay for insurance. I pay $89.92 a month (just liability) for my 95GL 2.5L MTX. What doesn't make sense is how I paid a little less when I drove my Turbo Coupe T-bird. I am only 18 with a clean record, so how could others be paying $400/month? That's ridiculous. I know living in a city known for its wreckless drivers (ie. Chicago) might boost your insurance up, but that much? YIKES
