RWD rims don't belong on a FWD car, it looks like a big roller skate

Please read my posts carefully. I said TRY to imagine them with correct offset. I realize they are RWD rims. And I wasn't running them on the road, only trying them on and trying to view them mainly from the car's side view, so I could just get an idea, etc. etc. I know that they stick out too far. I knew that from the start

Altho you said you wanted a black wheel with polished lip, a proper-fit centreline would look nice. Those black ones on now are not befitting a Contour...

Let me help you there...

Personally with the correct offset I like them. I'll be looking into RWD wheels for the Focus after I drop in a V8, so I've been trying different styles trying to find what looks right

OK. That's easier to imagine.

They remind me of something you'd see on a German Mondy, except you'd have to shave the whole car, now, and mount even skinnier tires on them. Too heavy for my taste, but they might work if you are just going for a specific look.

As for the black-centered wheels, I guess they just look too mid-80's with the basket-weave. Almost works on your early 'Tour, but not quite. There are plenty of black-centered, polished rim wheels out there now, though. The overall look is making a comeback, only now they have spokes in the middle.

Those wheels belong on a muscle car. Simple as that. Seen anything close to those on other cars on this site? No. Well their is a reason.

I'm not going to hate on your style of rims. People always hate on mine so anyways. I would go with the first set. I never seen anything like it on a contour. If you like em go for it!
