I have to nominate my HU. I have a Pioneer DEH-p7200 and it plays every CD-R I have ever tried. When you burn one, you can name the title of the CD, Artist name, and even the tracks and they will show up on the HU.
I have to knock the flat black panel Sony. It's cool and all, but any idiot that looks into your ride can tell it is still in there. Personally, I wouldn't pay that much money for a HU that doesn't detach! Just my two cents...
