If you get an SE-R you still have the FWD issue. That being said they're awesome little cars, the classic 91-94 style anyway. SR20DE power is fun, plenty of mods out there and a real big following. My friend has a 91 SE-R we turbo'd over the winter and we're guessing he's putting down about 330 fwhp. If you look around you can find decent classic SE-R Sentras in your price range and he tells me if you're willing to travel, you can find some 92/93 240's for about 3K.
