Contour Enthusiasts Group Archives Forums General Troubleshooting I've got the front seat blues.

The driver's seat on my '98 E0 is alittle loose and makes an annoying clicking/groaning sound when I accelerate forward.

Took it to the dealer and they say the seat track is worn.

Unfortunately, there are no parts available to repair this...and requires a whole new seat track from Ford.

I was quoted $450+ with labor.

Do I have any other alternative? Can the the seat track be repaired....or does it really need to be replaced?

Any shops in the Chicago area that do this sort of thing?
