I offered to have a meet at my place because my clutch is dying so I can't be driving my car much... meaning I drive to and from work and that's about it.

So instead of just catching a ride down with someone else to the show, you plan something totally different that basically keeps everyone else from coming down?

I was hoping to hang out with you guys here in East Peoria on Sunday since I didn't get to do that in Schaumburg. This show isn't one of my SLAP events, it is a regular ISCA-type event with lots of classes (all Fords or Ford powered) and I am not working at it.

Plus, with the cruise-in/drive-in/hog roast the night before (not to mention the rib-fest across the river in Peoria on Saturday ) I would have thought that'd be a great weekend getaway.

I understand that if given the option to do something close to home vs something 2 hours away, the close to home will win out. But before Joe's BBQ/Pizza meet was suggested there seemed to be a lot of interest by several people in coming to East Peoria for the show and to see the 2005 Mustang. Now nobody wants to come down just because Joe's clutch is going out?
