Do you think in your wildest imagination that Amsoil is the only company that buys from their suppliers!? If Amsoil was their only customer, they would have closed shop years ago. Also, Mobil marketed Mobil 1 in the seventies, NOT mid-eighties! I have been using it for over twenty years. Get your facts straight. I'll say it again: Many owners have gotten Many hundreds of thousands of miles out of their vehicles using conventional oil. Be it Mobil, Valvoline, etc., or even Amsoil synthetics, one should expect better service than using conventional motor oil. Mobil will be in the business making synthetic motor oil long after Amsoil has bitten the dust!
