The Mobil 1 vs. Amsoil reminds me of the Meguiars vs, Zaino debate, with Meguiars being Mobil 1 ofcoarse
Theres too many cars that come "factory filled" with Mobil 1, Vettes, Vipers, Cobras, Porche, etc. With that being said though, our work vans have been running regular Valvoline for most of their lifes (just swithched to Mobil 1 because I have less time to change them) The one van, a 98' GMC Safari has 255K on the original motor and its never been opened up. The other van is a 97'w/ 465K and has the original motor as well, but the oil pump was replaced at 100K and thats it for opening up the motor. We have another van which is a 94' Safari that had the motor replaced at 98K and it now has 415K and again, that motor has never been opened up. The main reason I use Mobil 1 is because of reputation, certain OE's run it from the factory and price, I only wanna run the best in my ride
