I don't want to sound like an old fart but man...don't listen to anyone telling you that you'll out grow or get tired of say...a 600. I have a 600 now and while sometimes I think yeah, a little more power would be awesome...I also know there are people on 250's that could probably embarrass the [censored] out of me. Until you master and I mean master your current ride...more power isn't nessesary.

You'd die on a Gixxer 750.
Buy a SV650.

You read my mind... but i think a 600 whatever it might be r6, yzf600R, GSXr 600 would be fine. A 600 is a 600. Start off with that and master it. I realized that i am gettign a bike for RIDING NOT RACING, so wht would i need more power.
All I want is to be cruzing around town with my Girl on the back with Her THONG STICKING out and you drooling as i pass by hehe

this wont be till late spring or early summer so i have quite some time to think about what i want. i probably will end up getting a R6 or another 600cc bike. now that i think about it i dont need to go that fast. a 600cc bike would be fast enough. plus i have plenty of time to move on to bigger and better things in the future.

600's are NOT the same...an R6 is like a GSXR 600 but NOT like say Katana or bandit or many many others. The easiest way is to ride them if you can or even research and read about them. There are 2 tiers more or less for 600's and the CBR600RR, R6, ZX-6R and GSX-R600 are in that 'racing' 600's catagory. Like I said before, if this is your FIRST bike...avoid those. You don't want to die doing something you enjoy. Remember...always wear your gear and MAKE SURE you take an MSF course!!!!! You will learn SO much! http://www.retsorg.org/index.html

NO I repeat do not do that. Stick with those bikes that you mentioned. If you get those lesser 600's like katana or etc.. you will be unhappy and would wanna move up to bigger. lIKE I SAID THE 600'S YOU MENTIONED SHOULD BE FINE AS LONG AS YOUR LEVEL HEADED
