The tranny shop guy said everything is ok and still within its limits, I'm still concerned tho just do to the flashing O/D light - still looking into it. The chip itself cost a little over $50 CDN, and they charged me an hour to install it. its right above the tranny, in fact you can see it right below my air filter.
I am worried about it tho, first off the codes, second it is really firm, I do like what it did for the car but the thought of it doing harm to the trans concerns me. I will be trying it for a few more days, then probly taking it out (should take 20 mins or so). Unless we can get word as to why it may be doing what it is, the place my tranny shop bought it from said contour guys have been using them with no problems.
Overall I am very impressed with it, I just can't get over the blinking O/D light. Probly wouldn't look too good if I go to sell it like that. So I'll probly just take it out as my trans shifts really nice as is. I dont think it will make any difference in terms of 1/4 mile times (its not like we have the need to shift through all of our gears).
Will keep this thread updated as I learn more. If it doesn't work out then at least I tried something new...
