I'm seriously considering the Venom VCN-2000 kit for my tour and I was wondering how long does a 10lb nitrous bottle last for the occasional sprint up to the legal speed limit Basically I'm looking for personal experiences from anyone that has or is running nitrous. How long has your bottle lasted before refilling and what were the conditions under which you were using it i.e. how many sprints, how long were the sprints, etc. Thanks,

stoplight to stoplight with liberal usage  say ONE NIGHT! periodic usage maybe a week. I used to fill it on fridays then it would be close to empty after cruising friday and saturday evenings with a fair amount of use.

depends on how big of a shot your running. I'd say 15 +/- passes. I made about 5 and have over 1/2 a bottle. That was about a 50-60hp shot.

With a Zex 75HP shot, I can pull 9-10 runs at full pressure. After that it falls off fast.

Guys,
Thanks for the responses. I guess I'll be turning away from the nitrous idea if I'll have to be filling a tank that often. The hope and joy was fun while it lasted.
If I only had the time (or had the money to pay someone) to do a hot 3L hybrid.

3.0L Hybrid + Nitrous
The 3.0L Hybrid is enough to make a guy happy.
Then you have the option to use your big HP maker if you want, or turning it off without putting any added wear on your drivetrain. The only downside is, when you're out you're out. Don't see too many Turbo/SC guys telling you they ran out of boost when someone pulls up to the line
