There's nothing wrong about being able to express ones emotions or feelings in something other than a monosyllabic fashion, though I'll come out and say it:
Seems like a segment of the younger population is nothing but a bunch of wusses and pansies and I know of a bunch of older men trying to get in touch with their "inner-wuss" to make their pro-PC management happier...
I've a brother that's 7 years younger than me and a cousin that's 10 years tounger that have been pretty much saying the same thing, at least for the younger population.
Being a ball-busting alpha male of any sorts seems to be passe these days, given the onward march of PC. I know guys who over-do it and deserve the riddicule they get (too much testosterone and not enough brain cells), but even being tastefully glib, to the point and tactfully assertive seems to get you a black-eye in many circles these days.
But back on-topic, I rarely watch TV, so I'm pretty much clueless about the content of the show.

That's what I heard! He was sentenced to jail for killing a gay man 15 years ago!
I've seen the show and I think it's pretty funny.

The problem with America is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment
for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety
labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

Thanks,
I searched the net and found more information, such as we was a neo-Nazi.
What, no stereotypical cast members for my show???

Not to mention, women don't put up w/ that nowadays, at least the self-supporting woman or the professional woman or the woman looking for the "perfect" dad for a loving, caring family...noone wants to be embarrassed by a loud-mouthed a$$hole of a husband who likes to brag about p_$$y & give 0% at home w/ no regards to his significant other...Somewhere he has to give in
yes, I work w/ idiots, although a few of these idiot homophobes actually said they would love to have these guys redecorate if they had the money...& then they made some other stupid remark

It's great entertainment. I've seen one full episode and laughed aloud. Forget all of the PC/agenda/point value. Take it for entertainment and laugh with/at/about it.

I'm with you on that one. No reason why you can't have it both ways!
The show is honestly funny, and I have a friend that we've considered calling the show about!! We look at him, and the potential he has- he's a good guy, but, he's pretty... slovenly, if you will. If the "Fab 5" could get ahold of him, I think he'd actually see his own potential and feel MUCH better about himself.
The thing about the show is this- in the broadest sense, speaking only from my personal experiences, gay men generally have better fashion sense and better manners than most straight men. I'm not saying it applies to EVERY gay or straight guy, but, from what I've seen, it's true. The guys that they've worked on, while not always your typical alpha-male, are guys that could, honestly, benefit from their advice.
Does it appeal to everyone? Nah. No way that it would. No way am I gonna tell anyone here to change their minds about the show (if you don't like it, don't watch it, right?), but, I can honestly see where it does have its place, and I can really see it being able to help people!

It is 5 gay men helping straight men improve their lives and relationships by teaching some style and sophistication. There is a lot the viewer can learn by watching as well (I intend to use wrapping/scrapbook paper as placebo wall hangings to start my house). It just happens to be done in a very entertaining manner.
Unlike most of television, they aren't doing anything illegal, unethical, or immoral (unless you count just being gay, even celibate, as immoral). They even censor swearing.
Now "Boy Meets Boy"... that show we could both have a field day ripping it to shreds... though for different reasons.
This show is cool for girls!!
I won't even get started.

I just think its f'cked that you need to be a fricken cross-dresser these days to succeed in Holywood or to be considered "sophisticated"!

I completely agree... Nobody should be offended by it...hell, I love Monster Garage even w/ all that pent-up testosterone exploding all over my TV screen. (oh, there's that lesbian coming out in me...)

Once again another stereotype that's not necessarily true
But the other show is OK entertainment for you????
