I bought some sidemarkers off a fellow CEG'er a while back and I was going to put them on until I saw I needed a resistor and diode for each side for the light setup I wanted (from the How-To). I went to Radio Shack, RS Electronics (Schoolcraft and Stark) and Murry's, and none of them had anything close to what I needed. So where did you guys with the sidemarkers get the required resistors/diodes from? The how-to says 30 Ohm 20 Watt resistors and 3 Amp 15+ Volt Rectifying Diodes are needed. Thanks!

All I did was go to my closest Audi dealership and order the A4s, and all the wiring.

Hector from chi-town said he just wired them up to his parking lights and his turn signals. I remember seeing it in a post a while back. Claims he has had no problems.

You only need resistors and diodes if you want to wire them half bright and full bright with the turn signals.. I know people who have just wired them straight up to the turn signals.. and it works fine.

I just spliced them into the turn signals and have had no problems.

You get the half-bright/full-bright effect too?

No, like I said before.. you only need resistors and diodes if you are looking to get the full bright/half bright effect.
