Mine is tinted illegaly... why?? for that very reason, I can't stand to see a dark back windows and then see through the front two. In VA you're supposed to have 50% on the fronts and no darker than 35% on the backs.. but I went 35% all around because I just don't like the look of the split tints.. so my opinion is no, don't do it that way.. but I don't know what your tint laws are so..*shrug* I would just do 35% all around if you were going to do the fronts like mine. All one shade makes the car look cleaner and plus if you go much darker, I hear of folks having trouble seeing out the back at night. It's pretty dark out the back now trying to back up at night.
