"A DPFE sensor has no bearing on idle it is a digital pressure feedback exhaust or EGR sensor that tells the computer that the EGR is actually functioning...You need to look at you IAC--idle air control valve...this is a common problem on fords not to mention a few other small ones. You could try disconnecting the sensor and you problem should go away in normal idle however in acceleration it may still cause a stall since you computer is running on the default setting for this sensor....You can try cleaning it but it is much easier just to replace it."
