My woofer is mounted under the deck, with a spacer that has an enlarged hole. I cut away the padding, but not the carpet over the deck, so you cannot see it from inside the cabin. You can only see it move at higher volumes.
As Dave said, the hole is on the right side, look in the trunk. A second one on the drivers side would be difficult because of the center 3rd point seatbelt.
