Of course it is not an exact science but it illustrates a point. The S Type R would start around $74,000 US using the same calculation I did with the ST220.

If it would be viable I don't doubt Ford would bring more cars over. But given the market conditions, government over regulation, and other conditions it just would not be workable.


I just read a good article about how the Focus is evolving here. It probably won't use the same platform as the new European Focus as originally planned because it would take the US Focus out of its target price range for the US segment. In Europe the Focus is not simply an entry level car like it is here and people are willing to pay more for it over there.
