Yeah, I did 8's in the front doors.
I made a 3/4" MDF spacer with my trusty Roto-zip, and had a minimal amount of sheet metal to trim.
I used Orion Xtreme XTR MB 8's
http://www.orioncaraudio.com/orion.html Some of the other speakers I was considering included: MB Quart 8" MidBasses,Image Dynamics 8's, or Focal 7 inchers.
I got a good deal on the Orions so I went that route, but I'm sure these others will work as well.
