Installing the 8 in woofers in the rear doors could be an option. For spacious staging up front, the mid/woofer should be as small as is practical. I personally use a 5" aluminum cone mid/woofer and a ribbon tweeter. I have not changed the rear speakers yet, but I am planning to do so.
Band limiting the rear door woofers will make them sound "up front", and the smaller diamter (5") mids will provide superior dispersion and imaging. Try using a "high Q" or "free air" 8" to get the proper match to not actually having an enclosure.
