Reading the remark on the coffee table bit reminded me on a story. Care if I share?
When I was in the Army I loved car audio, my roomy loved home audio, so he had a full Carver setup with massive 15" Vega home speakers, I had bought a box and subs from a guy who needed cash, but this box was freaking huge and was not fitting in my car. One of those too good to pass up deals. It was a full Bandpass Medite box with a inlaid Plexiglass windwow. Box was speckle painted, (read early 90's) and had a black carpeted top. Inside were 2 15" DVC Orion subs. We hooked em up to the Vega subs crossover and ran the Carver amp into some weird ohm rating. We used this beast of a box as a coffee table. That box spilt a lot of beer from unsuspecting house guests.
