And Brad said "let there be light" :p
I ran 12 AWG wire to my door speakers with NO drilling. Does require some tricky finger work and some patience but is well worth it. Unfortunately, my camera is broken and I haven't the cash to buy a new one. Since your car is a 98.5 like mine you should have the same grommets I do. Look at where the wiring harness meets the car...now, look in front of that, you'll see an oval shape plug. The back of that plug, and the hole, is actually round and works very nicely. This is where your wire should run through. After you get the wire through the panel grommet direct it to the BOTTOM of the wiring harness on the door. The Large oval shape. The center of that is full of wires but the surrounding rubber is backed by nothing. Cut a round(round as you can)hole bigger then what the wire needs. Use a piece of approx. 3/8" wire loom(split or solid, I used split)and wrap it over the speaker wire. Push the loom into the 'near round' hole you cut and feed all the wire you need! This is a pretty basic description and more complicated than it sounds but it works. I'll get pics as soon as I can. If you need more details I'd be happy to help. FYI the passenger side is TWICE as hard as the driver side. Hope this sheds some light.
