Nitrous is remarkable safe right now....The VCN series monotor your A/F ratio so that if you run lean you automaticly shuts off......Most people seem to find a 75 shot more than enough and safest shot.
Mostly you wnat to watch for misfireing, pining, detonation, or just any abnomal noise...usually i reconmend upgraded trans and motor mounts (w/ polyurathane bushing).
There so much about it that i am learning as well....I will come into more info and pass it along.
