I have the same prob, I have to hit it. I think it's just a loose connection somewhere close to the clock. As to the 24 hr clock thingy, that was just discussed in Asthetics.

Take out the clock. You will see the light bulb is either burnt out, or loose. This goes for both of you. My light burned out years ago and I never knew how to get it fixed. Luckily I found CEG and i marvel at my lit cock.
