If the 35Z performs as well as my 40Z, then I would say "Go for it." I'd suggest you shop around some more as I'm certain you can get a 40Z for about what you were quoted on the 35Z. Try www.soundhabit.com as they have the 35Z for $189.99 & the 40Z for $249.99.
