The new sony xplod line is lower in quality than last year's mobile ES line. It seems sony is focusing more on style and appearance rather than sound quality. Listening to their amps in comparison to other equally rated amps shows their lack of clarity and power. I have also seen more xplod headunits come back to the store for service than any other brand. This is not saying that you will have a bad experience with their equipment, but in my opinion, you'll be more likely to be more pleased with another brand. Check out MTX's road thunder rt2200, it should be in the same price range. It has the crossover you need for a sub. Good luck with your decision. And no offense to anyone who owns products from the sony xplod line.
