I'm more than likely buying this on Tuesday. I was wondering if anybody has heard anything good or bad on this player.....also there are two models just above it. I think they are the CDX-M650 and the CDX-M700 Prices: CDX-M600 - $349.99 CDX-M650 - $379.99? CDX-M700 - $429.99? Hey. A buddy of mine has the m600 and he says it works okay, but if you plan on adding on an amp, go with either the 650 or 700. The 600 only has, i think, 1.8v or 2.2v, not sure which. the 650 or 700 have 4v out the preouts and each has 3 preouts. Decide on how many options you want on your deck, but go with either the 650 or 700.

I own a M650 which is pretty good. The only gripe I have for the headunit is its brightness when you flip the face down and use it. It lights up the whole car. One more thing, use some Monster Cable patch cables to extract even better sound, I did it sounds really good now.

I heard only good things about the M650/M700.
I could have brought a "NEW" used M700 for $200 but was too slow to act on it.

I just installed my m750 last week and i LOVE it! But I have to agree, It is brite when you open the face, other than that you'll love this deck. I also started burning my CD's with the cd text on them too, artist, title and track names show every time without programimng them manualy. BTW if you buy an artist under sony music, the cd text is encoded on the disk already.
next: Aperiodic subs!!

In Adapted CD Creator, when burning, there is an option for "WRITE CD-TEXT INFORMATION".
I'm not sure, but I think you might have to be burning in Disc-at-once mode for this to be done. I imagine it encodes the artist/track info in the table of contents, and certain CD decks can decode this info -- doesn't ruin the disc for other decks.
A great feature I will be sure to look for when I manage to get some dough for a new HU. And Speakers. And a Sub. And an Amp.
