Well not actually new but new to the contour scene. I was a focaljet nerd for a while trying to make the focus fast but have now decided to upgrade. I've met a few of you guys at the pavillions when we all met up there a few times.

I sold everything on the focus and now trying to get into a SVT contour. Man are they hard to find. I only found one in the whole phoenix area at a place called JUST SUV's. But it turned out to be sort of a junker . I found one in Yuma for sale. I'll find out Wensday if I get it.

Anyways. Just wanted to say hi.

What did you find wrong with the car at Just SUV's? I thought is was pretty decent and they were going to have it gone over by the dealership as well. I thought that they were great to deal with although I didn't go through with the deal.

There was a black '99 for sale in the classifieds by Hassan and I also drove a burgundy '98.5 up in Anthem a couple weeks ago. Are those all gone now?

I'm not sure if you drove the one at JUST SUV's but it had a bad fuel pump. It cut out real bad once you started getting into the power. Plus the leather was really cracked, the center colsole was broke, the guage cluster glass was broke, and it had looked like it had been in a front end collision. I say that cuz the paint on the front bumper wasn't consistent with the rest of the car. It had 45,000 miles on it no warranty, and he still wanted 13,000 for it. But he was a great guy to deal with, really nice. I just don't think the car was very well taken car of.

That was the only one I found in the area, next closest one is in Yuma. I wish I was able to finance a personal loan for a car. Because there are some really good deals in the classifieds. The bank said I couldn't untill I sell my car that I have now. And since nobody right now is in need of buying a focus, I'm stuck having to trade it in.

Yeah, I noticed the guage glass and the center console. Every older, tan interior SVT I drove had dirt and small cracks on the leather. I didn't notice the fuel pump issue and I got on it a bit.

It was apparently a one owner car from Florida based on the CarFax.

I bet you could get it for $11,500 at the most out the door but if you aren't comforatable with it I totally understand.

BTW, did you see that the Just SUV's SVT has Eibachs on it? I don't think they realize that because the springs aren't a wild color. I didn't look close enough to tell what struts were on it.

Yeah I noticed the Eibachs. He asked me about it and I told him it was the eibach pro kit system or at least it felt like it.

Oh yeah the moon roof didn't work either, it wouldn't retract it would only go up. Thats all right though. Cause I got the one in Yuma. It's a 2000 csvt, red with tan interior with 34,000 miles. So I'm happy. I go pick it up on Saturday.

Did you notice the 2 door explorer they had. Talk about sweeeeeet.

Congrats on finding one! If you don't mind, how much did you get it for? Sounds very much like the Tropic Green that I just picked up with 33k for $11,500.

That explorer was SICK but I just couldn't get over the cotton candy purple color! It is a show car and I bet they picked that up for pennies of what it cost to build!

Yeah no problem. I picked it up for 12,500. But I got the shaft cuz A. I got bad credit(credit score of 570 )B. I was about 2000 dollars upside down on my focus. So I'm gonna walk out of there owing 14,800. So I'm just gonna have to make some big payments so that I don't stay upside down for too long on this car. I'm happy cuz it's a far superior car when compared to the focus, so I'll deal with the price.

Yeah the purple was kind of different.
