I absolutely love my Boston pro 12" sub... nice, tight, clean bass with some rumble when neccessary, and plenty bass for my tastes... They need at least 300w RMS each though...

I love my Alumapro Alchemys, I have two 12"s. The Boston Pros that Jeff mentioned are good. Other good subs are Eclipse, Perfects, Crystal CMP, and Image Dynamics.

I agree with Jeff. Boston rules!

I have a single 10" Boston in a sealed box. More than enough for me. The bass is nice & tight. Not too boomy. Great at lower listening levels too.
My previous system has JL 10". I prefer the boston.

thezeb.com or woofersetc.com, I've had good luck with both these stores. 12" DVC Alumapro Alchemys are only $180 apiece at woofers right now, they have been as much as $280 online before, so that's a killer deal.

I have 1 10" Rockford Fosgate XLC(not even the top of the rockford line) and it hits hard and even quite LOW. It only requires 200RMS and peek 400.I have a 50 x 2 bridged at 150 mono amp pushing it and it hits. The box is only under a qubic foot, with lots of trunk space to spare.. I can only imagine how 2 of them would sound. I do not plan to compete and could not see spending hundreds of dollars for thump in the trunk.... I am out of that stage. Back in the day I had my 2 JL 12's and a 400 watt PPI amp pushing the envelope of the decible decisive law enforcement department of POLICE......

Not only does the 1 10 sound great it is NOT an attention getter..Sound is very well contained to the car and not the neighbors(POLICE).Now for some, they like the attention. Not me I do not want any just great sound and awesome vibes....

Just my long 2 cents........

Good luck
