Roadnoise is the noise from outside coming in. Tire noise, other cars, wind type noise. I'm not sure how a baffle will help this. With a 6x8, you shouldn't need one. If you were mounting a smaller speaker or a round speaker you may need one. Basically, you can subsitute the word adapter for baffle. To cut road noise down, dynamat your doors, both the outside panel and the inside and try to seal any possible airleaks that you can. You will not be able to completely seal the speaker without some serious mods, though.

The 5x7 foam speaker baffles (they're like little foam enclosures that mount underneath/behind the speakers)are the fit. You have to make a little hole for the wires. They're about $8 per pair at Crutchfield (they have a picture). Road noise travels through any speaker medium (paper, poly - that's what it does) and is very noticable in the svt. Do the baffles. They're easy and cheap. You will be pleasantly surprised at the results.

Check out www.cdeals.com I got the Pioneer TS-A6865 3-ways for $58 a pair. You dont get the factory connectors that Crutchfield gives you, but they are $99 a pair from crutchfield. I really like the sound from them with my Clarion DRX8675z H.U. They sound way better than stock and they fit perfectly.

Noto77 --

I went to that website you posted www.cdeals.com

I don't know what kinda crack they're smoking over there, but they wanted to charge me $75 PER PAIR in shipping to Toronto. Total came to about $260 US for the order. THAT IS NO BARGAIN!!

Thanks for the thoughts, though!
