Tellico Plains is a good drive from the Dragon if you are going Cherohala.

Yea, that's about right. Honestly, I don't want anybody to freak out over the gas issue, I'm just saying it's not a good place to be testing reserve capacity.

Its horrible to see the fuel light come on when you are out there. Its close to 30 miles, i think i remember seeing a sign on the NC side of Cherohala to Tellico Plains.

It's a week away.
Where do we meet?
I'd really appreciate some feedback.
Sorry, but I don't wish it to be random.
I don't mind random, and I wing it sometimes, but not others.
I'm driving some distance, and others are driving further. I realize that folks staying at those cabins or motels will be hooking up, but that's not the case for all.
How about some solid "we'll meet at place X around time Y on Saturday morning" kinda plans, folks?

I was hoping the locals could meet us near our cabins, maybe at some gas station or something. I'm sure everything will work out just fine, I'm really lookin' forward to this...BIG TIME

yeah, that's kinda what i was thinking too - but i guess blorton or one of the other "regulars" can chime in with what they think best.
i just put another coat of zaino on the miata friday night in preparation for the trip....i can't wait.
