My wife and I should be pulling into Tellico Plains/Caney Creek around 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. This gives us a chance to check out the local area in the daylight, don't want to try and find things in an unfamiliar area in the dark, especially down there on those roads...no street lights BTW, whats premium selling for down there

I think I paid $1.67 for 93 octane yesterday. I will be coming from North of Chattanooga so do you all want to meet in Tellico or at the Dragon???

My vote is for tellico but that's only b/c I'm staying there.

Heres an idea. There is a new gas station in Tellico on the way to the Cherohala. We could meet there. It will take me at least 1 hour 45 minutes to get there. So if you all are wanting to leave really early give me a time to be there.

what if we just used the cabins as a base of operations? we could set up a time to meet there early/mid-afternoon on friday (2-3ish?) for the early arrivals, go drive for a bit, then head off for dinner or whatever....then have a saturday a.m. meeting time either at the cabins at caney creek or at a gas station in tellico plains or something. say, 10 a.m. (eastern time) perhaps? not too early, but not so late as to waste a lot of the day either - thoughts?

Now you're talking, Blake. I'm driving from Greenville SC. For me to get there Saturday AM, I need some coordinates and a time. There's a direct way (State 25 to I-26 to I-40 to Knoxville, then drop down) or a very entertaining way (thru the hills of SC and NC). How I'm going is dependent on time and location. I'm getting up at oh-dark-thirty Saturday AM and heading out. Some of you folks are the ones traveling some distances and staying overnight. I'm respectful of that, and flexible. Saturday morning, 09:30 - 10:00, just firm up the location by Friday morning. I can check the website and get an address. Should that place have gasoline, a restroom and good coffee, all the better. Actually, make the restrooms and good coffee mandatory.

AAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
I HATE the fact that I am going a week late!! Work SUCKS!! The way my luck is going with this run, my car will break down & I'll end up staying there forever & fishing to feed my family. Hmm, maybe that's not so bad.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
