Check here. http://www.contour.org/FAQ/FAQ.php?s=probs to do the TH fix which will most likely eliminate it. If that doesn't work replace the IAC valve. Well good luck man.

Finally eliminated it for me in the following order:

"bagpipe" assembly replacement;
IAC replacement
Throttle hang fix as described in the forums.

1.5 years now without it!

yeah, i would recommend the TH fix. This worked wonders for me. I used a pretty big hole, i think it was 1/4, but the moose has been gone ever since! I love it!

I just tried to find a price on an IAC valve at fordpartsonline.com, but their site is down right now. In the meantime, the Throttle Hang fix costs a mere $0.30 (less in most cases) and an hours time - including getting out the simple tools you'll need.

A few folks have reported feeling a "power loss", but this is in fact not so. This is only perceived because of the change in engine behavior. I had the TH fix on my 1999 SE V-6 ATX and recently removed it. No change in power at all, just the slightest hint of resonance from the accordian tube. I may end up re-installing it again if the resonance gets any more audible.

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

You dont have to deal with moosing...consider yourself lucky.
