ok, a guy i go to school with got a sentra, all i know is its a 2000+ and an automatic, and bone stock. hes probably gonna come up to the track this week with me so we can race, and im wondering what to expect.

i got a duratec ATX, with a superchip, KKM, SVT UIM, and tomorrow im puttin on my MSDS Y-Pipe (just these few mods till i do the 3L swap in a few weeks) now i ran a 16.45 before the SVT UIM and MSDS y-pipe, so do you guys think i will beat him?

If it's not a se-r (can you get a se-r with an atx? all i know about is the spec-v and its 6 speed) you should beat him.

A fellow IT guy I work with has a Sentra GXE auto and it's actually not all that slow. Given your mods and your timeslip though, I don't think you'll have any trouble beating him.

and i killed one from a dead stop to 120. although it was bone stock, still had dealer plates, so he probably didnt know how to drive it yet, But i would feel comfy going against a modded one now that i know. all this was on a track of course.

i heard the ser spec v doesnt get a lot of power to the wheels cause of the tranny. i was reading a article on it a whiel back i think in scc that compared a lot of the cars comming out last year and the sentra spec v had the worst wheel hp compared to flywheel power.

I believe nissan worked on that, as that was a preproduction model SCC tested. They run quicker 1/8 mile times than contours. My friend ran 9.8 1/8 mile with his stock spec-v with just no hood, different muffler, and no air filter. Ran 10.1 with hood. I don't think their trannies are the best, but I don't think they're any worse than a contour's. I don't see any stock, non-svt contour beating a spec-v with a decent driver. And 1/4 mile would be close with svt.

from a stop, i know the sentra would get the 'tour, now once you get moving, not sure. I'm thinking these spec-v's ya'll are beating don't have good drivers behind the wheel.
