A Cadence A5-HC would make them Polks slam. I've owned the Cadence for a little while so far so good. My 4-channel is an Alpine, had it for over a year, still in good shape. Alpine's can be a little pricey, but you can get the Cadence amps pretty cheap online.

Why do you want to replace the Alpine pushing your Polk subs?

Trinity, my alpine is old its a 3527S, puts out a big 70wx2 @ 4ohms. I want to get a new amp for my polks and use the alpine to run some 6x9's....I just looked up the cadence A5-HC its 600x1 @ 2ohms anyone know how it compares to the JBL BP600.1 600x1? They're basically the same price.

I was in the same situation looking at the JBL and Cadence. I think the JBL is just plain ugly, is the main reason I chose the Cadence over it. I would say with the exception of looks, they are about the same, probably could'nt hear a difference.

Roland,

I think you probably got your amp just before the down grade of their product lines. I believe they were bought out (can't remember who) and the new owners decided to target the mid-fi car audio market. If I am correct they changed all (most) their amps to Class D amps. They are much cheaper and easier to get big watts out of. Unfortunately, as with all Class D amps the SQ is not up to par with other types out there. At least not yet....
