I moved my parents to Florida from Maine a while back. Down here we prepare for hurricane season more than the natives do, I think. I have four brother who live in the area, so we have a plan in case of a major storm & its associated service interruptions which can last for weeks.

My brother got my mother's house hooked up with a 12,000 watt natural gas powered, 5 second delay, automatic trip generator - very cool stuff, runs right off the main gas feed to the house. We all meet there after any sized storm & thank our luck stars. If a big one ever hits, we'll use it as a base of operations for re-building our homes.

Family is the thing!

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
