Sometime around 4:30 PM yesterday afternoon all power was lost in the metro-Detroit area. I was sent home from work but it was apparent that all businesses sent their people home at the same time. It was madness. Every intersection becomes a 4 way stop. My normal 10 minute ride home took an hour. It sucked because I had little food on hand with an electric stove , no paper money (no atms worked), it has been about 80-90 degrees out with 100% humidity, tap water may be contaminated, could not get gas for the car. To top it all off I had CEG withdrawal. You didn't think you guys could shut up the SE Mich CEG for long did you? "Cobb - It's not just for corn anymore!"

I was trying to have an Amish style party, Meijers had their generators humming so we were able to stock up on beer and liquor before then(just the essentials). I was kinda dissappointed the power came on I was haveing fun with out it, but hey it was nice to get the air back. Most the area around me is still out, pretty much my subdivision is an island of power, I don't know why we have it, there's nothing important here. Well gas stations...but there's lines miles long for those LOL. I live in Detroit, I couldn't give a **** how good my car is in the "twisties." This was last nite...I was drunk...and partying, as far as we were all concerned everyone got their power back. And everything was gravy.
