im looking to upgrade my front speakers. my current set up cannot handle metallica when larz goes crazy. Ive heard the mb quarts mid level sys and was pretty impressed. any other opinions on other brands? i have a 2x100 watt amp to power them. also shold the x over slope for the tweet be a higher order 18-24db than the mid(usually 12db)? my current setup has filtering caps in line a 6db slope i think this is probbably the cause of the distortion during heavy high freq playback. also has anyone tried digital designs stuff(
www.digitaldesignsaudio.com). They seem pretty good i used to work on the production floor, and they would play their 6.5 all day and they hit like some 10's in an enclosure the size of a kleenex box.
